Party Prep

Last year we had a Halloween/Birthday party and I made a lot of food, and had a lot of food left over.  So, this year I decided to keep it simple.  One dip, cupcakes, and of course some candy :)


(shhh I used boxed cake mix)


 Crushed up peanut butter Oreos, to look like dirt ;)


Add a stick to a ghost peep and adorable decoration is ready in an instant.


Worms on some ghosts on others...spooooooky.  Next up, the best corn dip ever.  Originated with my Aunt Nina but I'm not sure where she got it or if she's the creator!


In a sauce pan add the following and heat on low until sugar is dissolved:

1 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup sugar


Rinse and dice(the veggies) the following and add to large bowl:

2 Cans shoepeg corn
1 can black beans
1 can black eyed peas
1 jar diced pimentos
1 jalapeno
1/2 an onion
1/2 a green pepper


Add liquid to the veggie mixture and marinate in the fridge over night. Strain out excess liquid and serve with scoop tortilla chips!





Cool two tier server I borrowed from my Mom last Halloween and decided to keep ;)
