Curry Me into the Weekend

The man-friend requested Indian for dinner so Curry is on the menu!  I was planning on using a Indian simmer sauce from Whole Foods but I remembered some new spices I haven't really experimented with yet.  Garam masala (a mix of Indian spices), Yellow Curry,  and Cayenne Pepper (not in this picture).


I sauteed half an onion, a few chopped carrots, salt, pepper, the spices above,  chick peas, cauliflower and peas.  I simmered the mix in my wok with a pour of milk to mellow out the heat and to create more of a sauce.  Brown rice and whole wheat naan on the side.  Almonds sprinkled on top for some crunch.


It was very spicy!
