Rare Italian

This little Italian girl prepares very little Italian food. Tonight, I was in the mood. For the pasta that is! Asiago and pine nut ravioli from Rising Moon topped with a red sauce I whipped up myself.
A homemade red sauce doesn't have to simmer for hours to be good. This one took me about 15 minutes and tasty delightful.
1 tablespoon oil,1 clove of garlic, minced, 1 large can of whole peeled tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet on medium heat and add the garlic. After two or three minutes add the tomatoes. I then diced the tomatoes in the pan (I prefer the consistency of whole peeled tomatoes over the diced so I buy the whole and dice them myself). Simmer with salt and pepper for about 10 minutes before adding the basil. Stir in and add to the pasta of your choice!
Classic salad on the side with Annie's Roasted Garlic salad dressing. Yum!
Some vino and candles for romance :)
Top with some parm! After dinner we went to see Brave. It was really cute!
