Why does food made by someone else taste so darn good? I returned home from work to find my Man-friend hard at work preparing dinner (this never happens, I have spoiled him!) He roasted some summer squash from our farm share in olive oil, garlic and s&p. Also, on the menu vegan mushroom ravioli topped with not-so-vegan sage butter.
Sage butter is awesome and really easy. Heat butter, butter substitute or olive oil in a pan and add whole or chopped sage leaved to infuse the butter.
He even picked flowers at the farm!! I'm usually pretty nosey when he cooks and poke my head in the kitchen just to see what's going on in there and if I need to intervene. Not tonight though! I took a 15 minute cat nap and waited for dinner...delicious!
I could get used to this :)
